    When materials fall from a height and impact the conveyor belt, the buffer bed functions as follows:

    Energy Absorption: The highly elastic rubber layer converts the impact force of conveyed materials into elastic potential energy through physical elastic deformation and then releases it gradually, thereby reducing the direct impact on the conveyor belt.
    Surface-contact buffering: Unlike the point contact of conventional buffer idlers, the continuous rubber strip on the buffer bed provides surface contact, distributing the load more evenly and effectively preventing localized overloading that can lead to tearing or abrasion of the conveyor belt.
    Reduced friction: The smooth surface of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene significantly lowers frictional resistance during conveyor belt operation, thereby reducing energy consumption and wear.
